Awards,
Reports and Bonus Points
Motivation
is the key to keeping kids interested in chess. If it's only about
the best chess players, pretty soon you'll have a very small club
with just those players! But Chess Club Manager© makes it a
snap for you to spread the recognition around - to everyone in your
club.
The
Awards and Reports Screen gives you remarkably powerful tools
to motivate and reward every single player in your club, regardless
of how many games they win! The left hand column buttons let you
Update standings and Print out lists of player rankings,
for the club as a whole or by individual groups, for any time period
you like. There's no faster way - anywhere! - for you generate reports
to post for players to see, to send a list of the top players to
the school newspaper, or just to let you keep track of how everyone
is doing. You can even View Standings on screen, for any
month of the year and for any group you choose!
The
buttons in the center let you print out Awards by the dozens - all
with just the click of a few buttons. The Awards by Group
button lets you choose from seven categories of Awards that CCM
can automatically generate by going through the database and identifying
the best performers in those categories from every group in the
club, for any time period you define. You can instantly create awards
for Player Standings, Standings by Gender (with boys and girls ranked
separately within each group, so there are twice as many awards
for high places!), Honorable Mention (for those below a given place
in any group), Most Bonus Points, Most Workout Points, Most Improved
Player, and Most Games Played.
Creating
your Awards couldn't be simpler! Select your parameters by clicking
a few buttons as shown above, then click Find Winners. CCM
does the rest - automatically! - and a list of winners appears.
Then click the Print button, and a custom certificate comes out
for each name in the list, as fast as your printer can spit them
out!
But
what about the kids who aren't the best chess players? We haven't
forgotten about them, and with Chess Club Manager©, you won't
either! The Awards by Individual button lets you choose from several
categories that we've created, like Sportsmanship, Puzzle Solving,
Behavior, Attendance or Chess Reading, and instantly select deserving
players to receive their own special certificates. You can even
create your own categories, for anything you like!
Making
these custom Awards couldn't be simpler. Just pick the category
you want (not shown here), then select all the players to get this
Award. Add their grade or division to the certificate by clicking
in the corresponding box, then click the Print button and Presto!
- more certificates appear by magic! Nobody goes home empty handed,
and everyone goes home happy - whether they've won any games or
not!
Award
Certificates can be printed on plain paper, on stationery you've
bought, or on our very special Think Like A King® USCF Scholastic
Chess Award Stationery (which can be bought through our on-line
store). Any way you do it, your players will love the recognition
- and Chess Club Manager© makes it easy for you to give!
As
long as we're on the subject of motivating everyone, good chess
player or not, CCM gives you still one more way to reward kids for
effort and enthusiasm. The Bonus Points Screen lets you select a
category (use ours or create your own!), select the deserving players
by clicking on their names, and instantly award however many points
you like, for any activity you've chosen! You can even give negative
points as penalties for misbehavior or poor attendance if you're
so inclined.
Bonus
Points are tracked in their own category, can be viewed in the Player
Roster, and can be used to determine winners of Award Certificates.
With
so many ways to make it so easy to reward every single player in
your club, Chess Club Manager© will bring ever-higher levels
of enthusiasm to your group - and make chess even more exciting!
But
we're still not done showing you all the features, so keep on going...!
